ABOUT US
It all began when the local rugby club needed a venue for their function and turned to Hendrik and Lolita Hanekom for help. With no other options available, they hosted the event in their children's playroom—marking the birth of Die Hut. Over time, Die Hut expanded into a full-fledged restaurant, with Lolita also offering catering services both at the venue and throughout the Western Cape.
Eventually their son, Jaco Hanekom, along with his wife, Sharón Hanekom, took over the business. Over time, they introduced significant changes and upgrades to Die Hut, eventually transforming the main farmhouse into a guesthouse.
Today, Jaco and Sharón Hanekom continue to build this thriving guest farm, which now includes the guest house, a self-catering unit, function venue and restaurant and campsite.
